The harvest moon rises tonight… drink a toast to Dionysus, the God of wine and ecstasy.  The air is tinged with wood smoke and a soft undertone of decay.  This night, to me, feels closer to the ‘old ways’ than any other.Ancient memory never leaves us.  Legend and romance form our bones, stories and superstitions are passed down through blood.  Even now, even with technology making us practically bionic, we are drawn to the circle.

This time of year is bound to storytelling and myth.  So pour a drink, light a fire and tell me about the struggles of the gods.  Let’s revel in the comfort of today, knowing winter lays just beyond us.

The harvest moon rises tonight.
